JOHN MNYIKA: CHADEMA IS NOT INVOLVED WITH THE ONLINE INFORMATION ABOUT ZITTO
Crisis within the Party of Democracy and Development ( Chadema ), has entered into a new chapter after is two leaders of the party, Deputy General Secretary , Zitto Kabwe and Member of Executive Committee , Dr. Kitila Mkumbo wrote to the senior leadership of the party asking them to deny the online information which blacken them.
Zitto and Dr. Mkumbo, are accused of receiving money and cooperate with officials of the Department of National Security and those of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi ( CCM ) with the intention of destroying the Chadema .
The report with the headline 'The secret on Zitto Kabwe ', which is found in various social networks in recent days claimed that was organized by the Division of Investigation of Chadema after investigation on the trends of Zitto in and out of the country starting in , 2008.
Part of the report which is online claims that amount of U.S. $ 266,000 ( Sh416 million ) was sent to Zitto in Germany by Tanzania security officials in December 16, 2009 .
The report alleges that the funds were approved in the German Berliner Bank on account of the country's citizens , Andrea Cordes , who allegedly took the money to Zitto .
More information alleging that the funds were distributed to various supporters of the party and among them is Dr.Mkumbo .
Zitto wrote to Dr Slaa
In a statement to the media yesterday , Zitto said he wrote a letter to the General Secretary of Chadema , Dr Willbrod Slaa asking him to prove ' Privacy Statement of Chadema ' if it is true or the party should deny, so that he could take legal action against the authors of what he called ' mythology . '
" Report says that Chadema party ( my party ), was investigating my conduct since 2008 to 2010 and discovered that I received money from the Chama Cha Mapinduzi ( CCM ) to distroy Chadema , " he said Zitto in his statement.
He said the report iliibuliwa in the period in which he was on tour in Europe in Switzerland and the United Kingdom where he was tracking money that have been hidden by Tanzanians.
" Perhaps the purpose of the report was to destroy me: but from my commitment and genuinely want Tanzanians benefit from their wealth. The time that authors decided to report their disclosure poses more questions than answers, "he explained Zitto in a statement.
