Initially before the election, Nyamlani was vice president of TFF. On the other hand the vice president post of the TFF, was taken by Wallace Karia who received 67 votes, followed by Ramadhan Nasib who received 52 votes and Iman Madega who received only 6 votes.
Before the election, Karia has served as Chairman of the Board of the League Tanzania premia League and First Grade League .
