One day after Members of Parliament(MPs) urging Prime Minister, Mizengo Pinda and Minister of Natural Resources and Tourism, Khamis Kagasheki to resign for failing to manage the operation of eradicate poaching, 706 ivory horn has been captured in Dar es Salaam.
The 706 horns is equivalent to 353 elephants who were killed in various wildlife parks in the country. The incident occurred yesterday evening in Rhino Street , Mikocheni , Kinondoni District , was led by the Minister Kagasheki who was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Tarish Maimuna.
Arrested by the cargo of ivory horns are three China civilians who are Fujie Xu , Chen and Huang Qin Jinzha all from the city of Guandung .
The citizens of China have been living in the same house for many years been in the business of import garlic from China and exporting sea shells found countries .When he got into the house, Kagasheki who was accompanied by policemen and some security officers witnessed a large cargo of ivory being stored on parcels containing 50 kg .
Apart from witnessing the load angle , was shown to drive specific types of Toyota Noah which suspects are used to wild angles and incorporate them in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking at the scene immediately after the arrest said the arrest of these people due to the results of the eradication operation which is suspended by the Government Poaching yesterday after MPs complain .
Kagasheki minister said that in the process of seeking to arrest the suspects gave Sh30 million for trying to bribe cop.
"They wanted to bribe soldiers are arrested , " he said pointing to the currency notes .He said lawmakers who want to step down to the assertion that Operation Elimination Poaching has caused the killing of people and animals are losing time because of the power of surrender is the only President Jakaya Kikwete .
"Now I say it would be easy to pull me who can pull me is the one who made me , " he said.He said the strategy is done by some MPs to pluck up some ministers for personal political interests .It would be a wonderful thing that everyone he came into office they want out , they provided many ? He does not want to see President Kikwete leave office with a cascading of elephant poaching .One of the accused , Huang Qin said cargo of ivory seized at his home was a little by little taken to his house by his friend who did not mention the name.Speaking in Swahili Qin said: " To me this is not me, my head rags. My friend brought this ( horn) a little by little.
In January this year , the Daily Mail of Britain reported that the Government of Kenya has arrested a load of 638 pieces of ivory elephant , which is equivalent 320 were killed .The load of two tons of container was in a beauty stone (marble ) from Tanzania
